Project Description

Located on the eastern side of Baakline Village, this public school was commissioned by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR). The project was executed between 2003 and 2004, with a total construction cost of USD 1,309,908.

The school is situated on a 10,000 m² site, characterized by large natural terraces planted with olive trees, which form an important part of the site's existing landscape.

With a total built-up surface area of approximately 5,780 m², the school is designed to accommodate around 400 pupils, distributed across pre-elementary, elementary, and intermediate school levels.

The school is organized into one main block comprising four floors, housing a comprehensive range of educational, administrative, recreational, and service facilities. These include:

• Administrative offices and facilities

• Classrooms for the different educational levels

• Laboratories

• Workshops

• Computer and music rooms

• Library

• Teachers' and supervisors' rooms

• Covered playground

• Technical rooms

• Storage areas

The organization of the program within a single four-story block allows the various educational and support functions to operate as an integrated whole, while the site's existing terraced landscape and olive trees contribute to the school's relationship with its natural surroundings.
