The project consisted of the development of a water supply system, including transmission and distribution pipelines and water reservoirs, to provide potable water to towns and villages in the Higher Metn region of the Caza of Baabda.
The works were executed between April 1996 and September 1998, with a total value of works of approximately USD 13 million. The client for the project was the Ministry of Energy and Water.
The scope of works included:
• Water Supply System: Development of the water supply infrastructure serving the designated towns and villages.
• Transmission and Distribution Pipelines: Construction and installation of the required transmission and distribution pipeline networks.
• Water Reservoirs: Construction of water reservoirs with capacities of:
o 1,000 m³
o 500 m³
o 300 m³
The project provided essential potable water infrastructure for communities across the Higher Metn region, integrating water storage facilities with transmission and distribution networks to support reliable water supply to the served towns and villages.
