Project Description

As part of the Rebuilding Destroyed Schools program, the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) undertook the reconstruction of the Public School of Aley – Al-Oula. The project was carried out between 1999 and 2001, with a total construction cost of USD 1,736,903.

Occupying a total surface area of approximately 8,000 m², the school is organized into two main blocks, complemented by a technical wing and a central playground.

The first block, consisting of four floors, accommodates the school's main entrance, the recess playground serving the pre-elementary classes, the administration, pre-elementary classrooms, elementary classrooms, and two polyvalent halls.

The second block, comprising three floors, houses the remaining elementary classrooms, the junior high school classrooms, laboratories, and the library.

Located between the two main blocks is a technical wing, providing the necessary support and service functions. The buildings are further complemented by a main playground, creating an integrated educational environment that combines academic, administrative, recreational, and service facilities.
